and offered the HTC Desire instead, would u be satisfied with that?

The Desire will have the same specs that we know it currently has, but will also come with 4G capabilities. I know the Desire doesnt have 4G but just pretend it does for this situation.

Im bringing up this situation because i just wanted to see ur (people set on the EVO) opinions on a 3.7" screen and lack of front camera, 8mp camera, and 720p recording. How would u feel having to settle with the Desire after being hyped on the EVO 4G?

I would wait for the iPhone 4G and see if Apple releases their exclusivity from AT&T

The better camera with 720p video is a big deal for me as I only carry one device around with me, my phone. I know cellphone pics suck but I refuse to carry a camera. And the big 4.3in screen and front facing camera set it apart from any other device on the market, I like being on the bleeding edge of technology.

i'd cry, and NO i would not be satisfied, HDMI out, TFT screen, kickstand, are all making the EVO more desireable ontop of the specs you said to put aside... i really just love the whole package and i don't think i can settle for anything else unless this is just too damn expensive

Well first I'd be mad, but then I'd have choices to consider again mainly between the Desire and the Blackberry 9650 (whenever that's going to be released). The EVO 4G is the only phone I find a no-brainer for me.

I would be disappointed but would settle for the Desire, though it's not really settling since the Desire is a kick ass phone itself. I'm coming from a Palm so either way it would be a huge upgrade for me. I'm looking forward to joining the Android group.

First of all, Sprint won't cancelled the EVO/Supersonic mainly because they are already too deep in its announcement and are on line to deployment around June 5th. Its not like this phone is the Incredible that hasn't come about/announced by Verizon regardless of the numerous photos, blogs, thread. So the question itself is moot.

But, for the sake of conversation, lets say 2012 events did come early and made Sprint cancel the phone, then I would just stay with the Hero until Sprint comes out of its bunker and announces the phone once again.

TS out (getting food and supplies)

Then my existence would be worthless and I would grab a shotgun, go over to Sprint's evil secret HQ and kill everyone, then I would kill myself and eat my remains... while dead. LOL
