If SOPA happens, what will our Android phones, be good for??

What's SOPA?

Shiny, refer to the thread about blacklisting that's below this one.

SOPA and PIPA are bills that essentially would allow the government to run the internet as THEY feel fit.

No more free internet, the way it was meant to be. Just one more thing that the government would control. In other words yet one more personal right and freedom taken away from us citizens in the name of "protection"

Just curious.
Well truthfuly your phone will still be good but if you want to root it or install a rom on it, all available sources online will be wiped and any site, forum, blog, facebook, twitter basically anything that exist on the internet that has any type of infomation concerning such modding will be blocked from the net. ya remember when jailbreaking became legal to do on our ipods iphone and even ipads? lol that info will also be blocked online. congress is ignorant about the internet i think these organizations and companies like sony and the mpaa and so on are just rubbing dirt on congress's face and pushing them to pass the bill already.Im feeling positive about this i know we have had lots of people signing those petition lets hope congress put their foot on the brake before they drive the stupidity wagon off the cliff.

Basically, they'll be able to make phone calls, send texts, and browse the internet some... but they all will still have one special capability regardless -
when placed upon sheets of paper (on a flat and level surface), the paper beneath will be resistant to being blown away by the wind.
All this and more for only $349.95! (plus shipping and handling, void where prohibited. See offer for details, some restrictions may apply. See a Physician immediately if phone excitement last longer than four hours, and avoid excessive alcohol consumption while texting)

You really need to take a U.S. Government class.

In a sense he has a point. Since we have freedom of speech and Constitutional rights. They should consider that us, the people are against the bill therefore making it apparent to the government that we dont like such reform in "our" internet.

I just the hope judges take a look at our claims and demands. After all, we have rights and we are people to decide how things should be NOT government.
