To everyone that is having problems doing the natural update method of taking the OTA. If you have in the past when you first rooted renamed/froze/or deleted ANY BLOATWARE your update will FAIL.....you have a few options.

    1. If you froze any , then defrost all apps.
    2. If you renamed any , then rename them to their og name.
    3. If you deleted any try and reinstall them.
    4. SBF if the first 3 fail. Honestly SBF may be easier than #3 anyways.

I have seen TONS of posts on this already so hopefully everyone will see this. I would say stick this but i think we've reached the sticky limit. ...i guess we should have stickied an OTA Prep thread a few days ago...but oh well. I hope everyone is enjoying GB.

    *****okay to add to this**********

THE THREE WAVY LINES NEXT TO 3G IS THE ICON THAT REPRESENTS YOUR PHONE BEING ON VIBRATE

Z4 ROOT WILL NOT WORK ON GINGERBREAD. THERE IS NO ROOTING METHOD OF THE OTA.

TO HAVE ROOT YOU HAVE TO INSTALL A PRE ROOTED VERSION OF GB

I was rooted, strapped and had a few apps frozen. Unfroze them and tried the ota and it failed. Factory reset, cache cleared, and it still failed.....thought it should work but I guess not.

I love GB. I'm hoping for some ICS in the future but I'm not gonna hold my breath for that one.
