That Hero looks like it's rooted and running Fresh 1.1?

Just wondering, also, is it running Gumbo with Fresh?

I currently have Fresh1.1+Gumbo, and if it's that much faster I'm in love. Can't wait till the 4th, for the first appointment at my local Shack.

i cant believe how mych bigger it is...but also faster! cant wait...hero was a great intro to android but evo will allow me to take full advantage of it!

I want to know how the gameloft games play on the Evo. I also want to see if there is keyboard lag typing on the forums. Oh and does it play low quality youtube smaller than full screen. Thanks in advance

If you're coming from the Hero you just need to know one thing: You will NEVER be able to go back. I used my EVO for 5 minutes, and I couldn't go back to my overclocked Hero for a second. Everything is blazing fast on the EVO, and the Hero is just such a snail.

the evo makes it hard to look at any other device the same.this screen is huge and its so freakin fast. Youtube videos play in the full screen mode no matter what quality. I use to think my over clocked hero was fast as well, until i touched this thing.

Thank you. As a hero owner for less than a week, I am depending on this forum to decide for sure if I should trade. That video makes it obvious.

i just made a call with my hero and needed to immediately make a text afterwards....it took longer than id like to open handcent and then texting was very laggy...its weird, sometimes this phone uns like a dream and then it can be the most frustrating thing on earth...especially when i mostly need it to be smooth :/

I appreciate the vid but it seems like the rom your using on your hero is not too smooth. I am on Zen's rom and it's lightning fast compared to the one on the hero your using. Doing some of the things you did in the video, I did on mine and it seems much faster. Just a FYI....Again thanks for the vid.

Also can someone answer some of the questions I posted above about youtube and the htc keyboard lag when typing in forums. User TheBiles mentioned swype has no lag and I am aware of that because I have it on my hero and there is no lag there either. I am concerned with the htc keyboard.

oh ok, I didn't realize that, sorry. I notice in paticular the flixster app that was open in the vid shows the app opening right up and taking a long time with the hero. I think that was because the flixster app was running in the background and the hero was doing a fresh open of the app. The evo didn't even show the splash screen for the app opening at all. I know it's fast but that was a little too fast.

I believe the Hero has a 500mhz qualcom processor, which I believe is the same/similar to the touch diamond. The Snapdragon just came out and it would most certainly trash the 500mhz qualcomm as shown in this video.
