Root im a dummy...messed up a root

    i tried to root my eris. i was obviously unsuccessful because it wont go past shining "android" sign. it will pause like its about to boot then back to the shining android sign. i tried using the kaosfroyo32. did i brick my phone? i used the instructions on xda and everything ran through with no problems. help meeeee pleeeeeeease :(

    Did you wipe your data/dalvik before you flashed the new rom? If you didn't, reboot into recovery (hold volume up and power when you turn on the phone), wipe data and the dalvik cache, and reflash KaosFroyo.

    holy crap!!!!!! i did it again for a 3rd time and it worked!!!!!! delete the thread if possible thank you !

    Some Froyo ROMs take a while to finish booting...but, you already know that now, right? :eek: :D

    Only to add, be sure to give any new ROM flash lots and lots of time to finish that first boot; sometimes "stuck" is just "parsing in the background, etc." ;)
