i wasn't being anything. I asked if he had a question so I could help. It appeared to be a rant i was trying to elicit a response that would help me figure out what the trouble was.

I wouldn't use UnRevoked because it is not a full root and I have heard of people having issues with 4G when using it. Simple root is quick and easy: [Program] SimpleRoot OTA 1.47.651.1 Edition - xda-developers

If you are just looking to run wifi tether and need root to do so, unrevoked is a fantastic option. It is simple and easy.

If you'd like a full root, use the simple root option tsipa just linked. It is also very easy. They have wisked it into an app that only takes 3 clicks.

Only with the simple root method will you be able to run a ROM of your choosing and all the goods that go along with it.
