Portable Bluetooth speaker under $200usd with great bass, treble and mid-range.
A Hi-Fi speaker so to say. Before Stereo there was Hi-Fi.
Has to fit in a small backpack or cloth grocery bag.

I have the original Bose SoundLink BT speaker. It might be just a bit on the heavy side for bass but does a fine job reproducing hi fidelity. I did a quick search for a link for my reply but sadly I see that it's fallen out of production, or at least that's my guess. All I find is refurbs for sale. You might look at it's successors. They may be quality though I can't say. I've always been quite pleased with the original. Not only it's sound quality but it is really well built and has lasted me many years now. Though it did not fall in your price range when purchased, I see the newer units are. Good luck in your quest.

bose are great overall, but not very deep in bass. i played around with some bluetooth speakers at best buy, and i found that the Sony SRS-XB32 Extra Bass Portable Bluetooth Speakers had the best bass.

i ultimately went with the JBL Charge 4 mainly because it fit exactly where i wanted it to go......and it had a great sound with enough bass for me.

but that is up to you.check out best buy, you can play with some of the speakers and see what sounds best for you.

My first Bluetooth speaker was a JBL sounded good.
Someone must have done better by now.
