Help IMAP syncing not working for Drafts

I'm using Android (One) Oreo, latest Gmail app.
When using one of my personal IMAP accounts (which is not Gmail), the app is not able to sync the Drafts folder at all. It's weird because the Inbox works fine, the Sent items also sync fine, yet the Drafts folder does not. Using a third-party app like BlueMail allows me to map the folder manually and it works fine with that app. I've also noticed the same issue with the built-in e-mail app bundled with some Huawei Mate Lite phones, maybe the issue is Android itself and not the mail apps? Or Maybe it is the apps and their lack of advanced customisation.


The email server is Exim and the accound has its folders set up as follows:
