    Hi, I'm Ahmed.
I've had this problem since 2 days. I've actually flashed like 3 custom ROM, after that I've checked that my SIM card was not readen by the phone. So I've tried to flash the stock ROM of my phone, at first it worked.
But when I reflashed the same stock ROM, the IMEI disappeared.

Someone told me to use ''chamelephon''. At first, like an idiot, I've chosen a random IMEI and applied it.
Like always did not work, but when I re-open Chamelephon, it crashes.
    Any ideas?

Is that an MTK reprogramming tool you're using? Think you should have entered the phone's correct IMEI, rather than something arbitrary. Which should be on the phone itself somewhere, usually under the battery, or on the carton.

Listen, I've put a random IMEI at first, then I've rebooted phone.
When I try to put the original IMEI ( placed on the back of the phone ) Then I apply it crashes.
    Seems to not work anymore.

the phone will never work, unless it has the original IMEI....
lesson learned, never, ever, mess with the IMEI or you will brick the phone.

What device are you using? Knowing that may help in finding a solution.

Try following this guide, as it seems pretty straightforward.

You can download MTK Droid Tool direct from the dev site here; ignore the link in the guide as that's a redirect so that some lowlife makes money from another's work.

    Good luck!

Thanks, I've already tested that site yesterday. The software does not want to read my phone even after installing the driver of the phone.
I'm thinking about taking it to an expert.
    Would it be expensive ?
