I finally got to play with the 4G service on my Droid Charge this weekend and I am really impressed. When I was with Sprint, the 4G topped out for me in Raleigh at around 2.5Mbs down. On the way to Atlanta I pit stopped somewhere around Spartanburg, SC and noticed that I was picking up a 4G signal so I thought I would Speedtest it and see what it would get. I was very surprised to see that it is very close to my home speeds at almost 30Mbps down. I thought it was an anomaly so I tried it again and got similar numbers. When I got to Atlanta I typically pulled about 18Mbps down and about 6Mbps up. The ping times weren't that great and I have no real use for those speeds but it's still really cool. This is my typical Raleigh Speeds This is one of the Spartanburg tests This is one of the tests from Atlanta, GA Sorry for the giant pics. I was too lazy to resize them.
