As for battery performance after the update, I'm still seeing NO improvement. I've not noticed any degradation, just no improvement. But, like I said, where I am, there is CRAPPY coverage. So, no phone batteries last long for me.
Dunno about battery life since I just got the update, but I did notice that when I took it off the charger, it said "full" instead of dropping immediately to 90%.
I was on my phone for over an hour straight this morning after the update looking at all the new stuff, checking emails and texting. Watched a YouTube video as well and my battery dropped from 99% to 80%. Don't know how good or bad that is but oh well. I thought we we're gonna have unified emails with this update?
Based on one day of use, I'm seeing battery life along the lines of what I would normally get when running Juice Defender with GB. I'm going to see how long it lasts (probably won't charge overnight) and maybe run a second day after full charge to get a better feel, but right now it looks like a significant increase.

Update. I downloaded one of the battery widgets to get a more precise charge level. Right now I'm at 67% and the phones been off charger for 12 hours and 15 minutes.
I think I mentioned earlier, while this has been a light use day (just checking some emails, little screen time and not phone calls), I do keep wifi and bluetooth on all the time, as well as screen on auto brightness and sync activated. Also, I have one exchange push account setup, to Gmail emails syncing, and three accounts setup in K9 email for Imap Idle (essentially a push email).
Never before GB would I get 12+ hours and have 70% (what the normal battery read out would show) of battery left. Even on a light use day. Typically, I would be down to 70% around 7 or 8 hours on a light use day.
Having the same positive increase in battery life as everyone else, seems odd to look at my phone after having it unplugged for 8 hours and still seeing 80% remaining.
I have seen a decent improvement in my battery. I stream music (i heart radio and Tune in radio) all day at work for 8-9 hrs, check numerous websites, facebook and twitter. Usually at the end of the day I am down to 15 - 20%. Right now I am still above 50%.
