In car tv dvd sat nav

Hi can anyone help me I recently had a tv dvd sat nav etc fitted in my car everything on it works fine except the sat nav when I put the sd card in it says Unsupported Format is there anything I can do to correct this please help

This isn't exactly the satellite navigation forum but we'll certainly try to help!!
What brand/model satellite navigation system do you have? Does it provide you an ability to format the SD card? Was the SD card formerly formatted in a PC? Or in a smartphone? Have you tried re-formatting the SD card in your PC before inserting it into the sat nav system?
