In my day, a "man bun" was what was on the outside of a super-sized bacon cheeseburger. :)

In my day, if you were invited to a "gender reveal" party, you wore a trench coat.

In my day, computers were the size of a warehouse, and were in no way "personal".

In my day we rode in the back of a pickup truck. Open bed, no seat belts, heck no seats. And we bounced around in the back at 55 MPH down dirt roads.

Parents all over town would flip the porch lights letting us kids know when it was time to stop playing and go home.

Back in my day, you would declare, "sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me". Now you have snowflakes.

There was a tacit understanding that if I acted the fool in my friend's house his parents had full disciplinary license.

In my day baggers loaded your groceries into paper bags, double-bagging if you wanted, and then helped you to get them in the car, too. Then they took the emptied cart back into the store...

In my day, the doctor asked you how you were feeling BEFORE asking you how you planned on paying the bill.

In my younger days in my earliest years I remember the glory and great privilege of having no iron bars on my windows, no electric fences, no barbed wire, I remember there being order and respect and there was respect for the law and order and society used to be very safe and there was stability and no fear of being murdered for a R5 coin or an insignificant cigarette and there were no criminals all over the place running the country wanting to kill everybody

In my day men were men and we all respected one another and not cowards like they are today.

In my younger days I remember when I could play in the streets and not live in fear of my life or being raped or murdered.
