Root In Need of Assistance

I'm trying to unroot my unrevoked-rooted EVO so that I can return it to Sprint. I was able to get the bootloader to go back to "ON" but I am having difficulty getting the PC36IMG file to download. I have been getting the message "Installation aborted." What do you think is the matter? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You may need a different img file. Hope that thread helps

I tried downloading the file from your link, and I still receive the "Installation aborted" message.

have you run through the entire process in that thread?

you may try running through the process again....You may also look around over at xda....it will be tomorrow before I can research this further.

I was able to flash the PC36IMG successfully.

I think I might take my chances and return my EVO with my non-Sprint ROM. I've tried to run an RUU several times, but I keep getting messages about USB connection/doesn't recognize phone, etc.

To run an RUU, does the phone have to be rooted?
