I've never had this problem on a rooted OG Droid, but I recently noticed that my incoming messages show the wrong timestamp which messes up the order in a thread. The time is right for outgoing messages as well as in all other apps (email, calendar, etc). When I googled the issue, I noticed that it appears to be a fairly common issue across phone models and OSes with the common theme being root.

I also found two potential solutions that I intend to try and I am putting my results here so that I have a record as well as if anyone else runs into this on the X2. I am currently rooted with GingerBreak and using Go SMS.

    Possible solutions:
    1) Go to Settings>Date & Time and uncheck "Automatic" then confirm you time zone manually.
    2) Install SMS Time Fix by Matthew Precious from Market.

Note that in my tests, the "fix" does not correct old messages.

So did these things actually work for the X2? Did you have to do both together or do they each work separately?
