Ok so here is the story. I bought a 6 month old used incredible in great condition with a few minor cosmetic defects. 3 days after I bought it the UI goes crazy.
    1. Google search turns on
    2. The phone keeps vibrating as if I am pressing a key
    3. Then google voice comes on
    4. Then goes back to home screen
    5. Then goes to the 7 pages view
    6. Then back to home screen
    7. Then vibrate a few more times

This happens in a matter of 10-20 seconds which is scaring me. I reformatted the phone with 2.2 and it didn't happen for a day then the next morning when i was using it, it happened again. Does anyone know what is wrong with it? Thanks

Sounds like the phone thinks that a capacitive button is being hit. If you reverted back to 2.2 and it's still occurring, then it's likely a hardware issue with the lower touch sensor (if the phone uses two separate sensors). I'm having a similar issue only when in Dolphin HD, so I'm going to try another browser to see if it's Dolphin, or if it's my sensor.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? Can I send it in? What solutions can I do to fix this?

    Try a factory reset.

My Incredible does the same kind of thing from time to time. I suspect that a piece of lint or dirt from my pocket is affecting the track button sensor. Blowing a burst of air on it has made it stop for me in the past.

However, with google search coming on for you, maybe the bottom right capacitive sensor has something wrong with it. If your phone is in a case, you might want to see if something is wedged under the edge of the case on the right side of the phone.

I dont have a case so i dont think that is the problem. hmm the lint thing i sprayed compressed air onto the trackpad and i sprayed some more when i clicked the track pad and it still has the problem. I initially had the problem so i factory resetted the phone thinking it would fix it but it only stopped for a day or so, and it is back and more frequent. I am thinking of rooting it and seeing if that might help, but i dont know. Do you think its possible to go back to 2.1 and that might fix the problem? thanks

If a factory reset didn't fix it, that means it's a hardware problem.

You could try replacing the digitizer yourself.
