Is anybody missing calls? Several people have asked why don't you answer your phone anymore? I checked my missed call log and the calls were never logged. In fact, i have received several voice mails and the corresponding "missed call" number was never logged or a notification sent. In addition, this same thing is happening with my emails. Yesterday, i used my wife's LG phone, also on verizon, and placed numerous calls to my phone. On only one instance did the phone ring. No notifications or logged calls.
I called verizon from my wife's phone and they called my incredible to verify the problem. Sure enough, they acknowledged there was a problem with my incredible and are sending a replacement. I have had verizon at this location for a long time and have never had a problem with receiving calls. I hope this is just an isolated incident of a defective phone and not a design flaw. I also called HTC and they said they have not heard of this problem or know of any "ROM" up dates mentioned in another thread. I tried all the obvious fixes and even a reboot of the phone; but it still misses many calls. I guess i am getting maybe 50% or less completed incoming calls. Anybody else experience this? My wife's LG works perfectly in the same location where the incredible fails. Also, I am out of my 30 day exchange period. Besides having problems receiving calls the phone has been great.

You can bet you would have heard A LOT of people screaming if this were the case. Your replacement phone should do the trick fine. It sucks the first one had this issue, but it happens:(

Yeah bum phone because I haven't see a post here with this complaint. I'd try a reset and battery pull though.

I had the same issue with mine so I sent it back I am going to reorder it on Monday.I missed over 2 dozen calls in four weeks way too much! I spoke to Verizon they of course never heard of such a thing but when I spoke to htc they admitted some were having an issue like this..

This might happen when your signal strength is Questionable, where your phone doesn't go into VM, but you might not receive the call yet your caller hears your phone ring. I know it sounds crazy but it happened to me twice on different occasions, i was in a Casino both times and sometimes signal strengths vary so frequently from weak to no signal, and in-between there is where this might happen.

There's no exact test for this except if you remember being somewhere signal strength was Questionable and varied due to your movement. Yes the timing of an incoming call would have to be right, i never had it happen to a point of being a problem but did have it happen under similar conditions/locations.

I would agree, except my Incredible misses many incoming calls where my wife's LG phone works (my office). Also, I have had numerous phones with verizon and have never experienced this problem. It appears to be a sensitivity problem with the receiver.

I'm having the same issue with my new Incredible phone. I'm missing multiple calls daily. So far Verizon has only had me do battery pulls and reprogramming. Both work for a while, but when the phone goes back to sleep mode it again starts missing calls.

I've also noticed that my daughter can call me while standing right next to me in an area with good signal and I won't get any indication, but then I can turn around and call her just fine. Once I've made the call to her, she can then call me and it will ring. It's as if once the android phone establishes contact with a tower, it then "wakes up" again.
