Over the past 24 hours my sleep button has stopped working. About 80% of the time, when I push it to put it to sleep it brings up my shut down menu. Has anyone else experienced this with their Dinc?

This has happened to two of my Incredibles. It is clearly a hardware issue. The first one I got traded out for a new one after a year of use, and then when I just got my refurbed one it started doing the same thing again about a week after. This one does it a lot less frequently though. Glad to hear I'm not the only one with the problem.

Just for the hell of it, I was thinking my Seidio case might be causing it. Do you have a case on your phone?

I do have a case on my phone. I thought the same thing, but when I took it off it still happens. I've figured out that if I press in the middle of the button it won't go to sleep, it pops up the menu to shut it down but if I press on the far left edge of the button it will go to sleep. Very frustrating, but with my 20 month out date coming in December, not too distressing. I see a HTC Vigor aka Droid Incredible HD in my future very soon, especially since the October 13 date has been released (unofficially).

Can a MOD merge this thread with THIS ONE? It seems that they are very similar and maybe someone can address the topic there.
