So my phone was working fine the last few weeks that I've had and then all of a sudden, it just started moving slow. Screens were taking forever to load and a lot of apps were force closing. Anybody have any ideas as to why this is happening? And any suggestions on what I could do to make it stop?

when's the last time you rebooted the phone? Turn it off and back on.

Also, you might have a bad app. There are a lot of apps, if not written properly, that can slow your phone down, and cause force closes. Look into your most recent apps, and uninstall them, and see what happens....

Must be due to a bad app. Download "OS Monitor" to see processes and find what is taking up large % of CPU. Seismic messed up once for me and took up 30% CPU all the time. Had to kill it, and I uninstalled it because twitter came out with their own app.

I just downloaded OS Monitor and it's showing me some error and warning messages about the screen and a few other things. What does all of that mean?

Also try clearing cache , you really should clear every couple weeks .

Which cache? Go into all applications and delete it separately or is there a "one step" process for it?

i have not found a one step, but would be really cool to have!!!

Yeah there isn't one step you just have to go thru your applications list and clear individually.
I find the best way to do this is , set it so the biggest apps are first and move my way down. If it's not over 1meg I don't even worry about it anyways. But some of them especially internet browsers will get up there in Cache memory really fast. Seen mine as high as 20megs before

Gotcha. I do that every few weeks. Sometimes helps. I also notice though that when 3G or voice signal is low the phone slows down too and not just the apps requiring a signal.

what is clear data vs clear cache?

i'm scared to hit "clear data" since it gives you that warning right afterwards
