It has only one slot for one nano sim and one micro sd card.
The model is LG G5 H860.
inside the menu there are sim1 and sim2 in 2 different colours. a quick button to toggle between them, It shows that sim2 not inserted.

ok, so I did a little research and it appears you use the sd slot for the 2nd sim.
Page 38 of the PDF in Chinese: perhaps @mikedt can better translate :)
    Roughly translated via Google Translate:
But it appears you have to sacrifice the sd card for a 2nd sim.

Some folks are modifying the slots to accept both sim and an SD card:

    That is odd indeed!
Just looking at the microsd slot....would the 2nd sim fit in there 90 degrees in relation to the sim1?

That doesn't look like a dual-SIM tray to me. Although what does your SIM holder look like on the other side?

This is what they might look like, and should be marked as such. The second space is for "micro-SD" or "SIM2"

LG's India website indicates this version can be dual-SIM.

Possibly there's a single-SIM version with the same model number. Where did you actually buy this phone, in the United States?

    Dear Mikestony and mikedt
thank you very much for your patience and efforts to help.
After I 've seen the the pictures of dual sim and one sim tray, I checked the tray of my phone again..
and it IS written very tiny on the side of the microSD compartment: SIM2.
The second SIM can be installed instead of the microSD.

Ah, good to hear that you can use a 2nd sim:) Thanks for the update!
I hope your thread here can help others!

If/when you get a chance, can you post a picture of your particular sim tray? I'm curious as to its appearance.

Can you insert two sim cards and an SD card all at one time in the dual SIM card slot?

No, as the holder only has two spaces in it.

LG G5

The LG G5 was launched April 1st, 2016. This was some of LG’s biggest innovation yet with the introduction of dual rear cameras, always-on display, and an interesting modular design concept. The modular design never caught on.
