Help inspire voice mail issue

Hi all, I have an HTC inspire and I have a voicemail notification in the status bar and I don't have a voicemail in my inbox. I went in and deleted all my inbox and everything. But it still days I have a voicemail in my statusbar and drop down menu. Any ideas? Thanks.

Are you using a 3rd party voicemail (like youmail or something) or just regular voicemail through att?

My mom had this problem on her phone (not an inspire) but what I did was call and leave her a new voicemail then she checked it, deleted it and the icon went away. Maybe give that a try?

Another option is try pulling out the battery. (this usually fixes a lot of issues)
