Instagram issues with lg g6

Does anyone have issues with their photos for Instagram? I have a really hard time trying to fit the photo into the square box 😭.

I don't Instagram, but doesn't the camera have a square format for just such a situation? I thought i remembered seeing that in the reviews.

I'll look into it.  I think the reason I was having issues is because the camera is default as 18:9. I switch it back to 16:9 hopefully my pictures will come out better.
