Is it possible to do the leaked 2.0 without having a card reader? Anyone have it set so you can do it with the USB cable?

Sorry for asking a noob question, but i honestly cant read through EVERY post to find out.

    Thanks

You only need to be able to get the zip file onto your SD card, whether it's via mounting the phone as a removable drive or taking out the card and using a SD-microSD adapter in a card reader.

I'm not a huge fan of your attitude, FYI.

It doesn't matter what you try to do. You're not getting 2.0 on your phone.

  7. He's ok, Kriswknight. Kind of a cantankerous cuss, but very useful here and comes across as a nice guy over time.

Rather beloved here, I might add.

Also, your phone DOUBLES as a card reader, just hook up the USB from your computer to your phone and in the notifications bar you will get an option to mount the sd card. Your computer will then get a pop up window asking you what you want to do with this drive. Choose the options that lets you browse the drive and VOILA! You can view the files on your sd card and even copy files to it, like the image.zip file.

Sorry, but some of us just shake our heads when we see that there are people who don't understand how to get files on to their SD card in their phone. There is no need to remove your SD card to put files on it. Simply hook your phone to your computer with any standard mini-USB cable and mount your phone. It then works just like a jump drive.

I really just don't understand how or why you would even think about buying a smart phone if you don't understand the most basic functions of it, much less trying to do something like flashing a ROM.

Some seem to think "smart phone" means it'll do all of the thinking for them.
