I have a Galaxy S GT i9000 running Gingerbread 2.3.3 XXJVO and am asking if the ROM can be replaced with Cyanogen 7. I have tried using ROM Manager but have run in to signature verification errors. Perhaps not using it right. It only goes as far as the first step of the backup process.
The instructions for doing this were found in the new Android magazine.

I have been told that I can only install Cyanogen 7 on a phone with Froyo 2.2 but this would mean I have to downgrade first???.

Would help if someone could come up with the answer and/or some clear step by step guide.

    First you doing all wrong.
Second if you dont know how to do it you should not even think of it.
Third cm7 is still a buggy beta. if you dont mind that, then go ahead.
But if you want something good then use a custom rom on samsungs base.
