Good afternoon folks. Long time lurker first time poster.
I have a dell inspiron duo that I want to install android on to, via thumb drive.
Ive read a couple sites, have the image downloaded, and written, but when i boot to the USB, it hangs at
    Detecting Android-x86.... found at /dev/sdb1

    ANDROID _

after the ANDROID, its a blinking cursor. it wont go any further.
I formatted the thumb drive prior to writing the image, as fat, and tried fat32.
Am i missing something? please avise.

    Thanks

You might try asking over at XDA developers forum.

I was under the impression that it wouldnt work because android isnt optomized for x86/x64 based systems. closest ive gotten to "running androind" on a PC is by running the SDK emulator.
