Does anyone know if it's possible to install apps on my Desire which have already been downloaded and saved to my PC? My previous Nokia had an app installer programme. Is there one for the Desire/Android?

I've tried creating a folder and copying across but that doesn't work, which I didn't really expect it to. Any ideas?

I can't imagine why you'd want to do this - all the apps are available to download from your phone from the Android Market?!

Maybe he doesn't have WiFi and a data plan.

Maybe he has a data plan but no WiFi and his PC internet connection is faster.

Ah yes, I guess I do take for granted the free internet connectivity on my phone.

    Point taken.

PS. An easy way to install apps from your laptop to your phone is to just bluetooth it to the phone. On complete receipt, the phone sees it as a new app to install and immediately asks you if you wish to install it.

There is a method to my madness which I'll not go into now, needless to say the App Installer did the trick. :)
