Ok, im new to this whole rooting thing....i was able to root my phone last night but im running into a problem trying to install fresh rom.

Sorry if this has been answered before, but ive looked everywhere and cant find anything.

i download fresh rom 1.1, put it on my sd card, reboot and choose "apply sdcard: choose zip"...the file appears and i choose it but once it gets to "verifying update package" it gives me an error saying
    "E: No signature (1394 files)
    E: Verification failed
    Installation aborted"

Can anyone please help me out....im probably having a blonde moment and hopefully its just something silly
Im working on a mac if that makes a difference
    thank u guys!

Re-download fresh 1.1 and try again. It sounds like you have a bad file.

I tried that last night, same issue. When i download the file, it seems to automatically unzip on my mac...ive tried it that way and ive also tried to "zip" the file again...same issue in both cases

Dont know if has to do with the fact that im on a mac

You do not want it to unzip. If you re-ziped it the file would no longer be signed.

Im not intentionally "un zipping" it....once it downloads, it already shows as unzipped...ive tried using that file and it wont work.
I dont know if my mac is automatically unzipping file upon download

sorry, im new to all this, im trying to learn, but its a slow process lol

Try downloading the file directly to your phone through the phones browser. Then using ESFile Explorer go into downloads and cut the zip file, back out to the main screen then swipe the tray up and click on the .zip file. It should now be in the root of your SD card. Now boot into recovery and apply the .zip.

Ah, I remember when I used the MAC years ago that it ideed would automatically decompress files. Unfortunately, it was so long ago I can't remember what I had to do to stop this behavior.
