I've set up google+ to upload photos instantly to picasa. It works like a charm for 2D photos, but it doesn't upload 3D photos. I assume this is because google+ doesn't recognize the .mpo extension as a photo. It would be really sweet if we could get the google+ app to recognize the extension, convert them to 2D and upload automatically.

I do know that I can force an upload to picasa via the gallery, and that I can convert from 3D to 2D during this operation.

Any other solutions would be appreciated!

google+ is still in beta so perhaps this may be something for a future update.

If youre open to using flickr, download the free app flickr explorer in the android store. It's actually accepting mpo's. The thing is though not many people can appreciate it. Yet.

Edit - mods if that advice violates the forum rules please edit it out and I won't make the mistake of referring apps by name again, even free ones. I just find that the stock flickr option on the 3vo does not allow mpo uploading, yet this app does.

Naming apps is way cool, as are links to them in the Market or references to their availability at Amazon, or the app developers' websites - in other words, all legal channels that don't infringe on copyrights are cool references around here. So, what we don't like are direct links to app downloads outside of those channels - that's how malware happens.

But information here is free to share - that's how we roll as the oldest and largest user self-help Android forum.

Cheers and welcome to the forums!

(From your once and future mod, just as soon as I can return from where I've been called away to - very soon. ;))
