As some of you guys may recall I joined the forums after getting my HTC hero a month ago on 3UK network due to my phone overheating whenever I played something through the speakers such as music etc

Since then I learnt about forcing 3UK to revert to a 2G network due to 3G signal being low when I am at home

Anyway while I am at school I use 3G because I use the internet much for to sync to google etc but when I use it to play music the phone overheats and stops responding

When I play music at home on the 2G network the phone stays at around 27 degrees which is around average and plays constantly for hours.

Basically I am not complaining but does anybody know why the phone overheats when the speaker is used on the 3g network but stays perfectly normal on the 2g network?

    Thank you
    (sorry for waffling on... )
