    First of all, if you don't know this code then don't use it - it wipes everything and anything, including internal and external SD.

    Anyway, back to my question. As it wipes the lot - what happens with the installed ROM, Samsung or otherwise? Is that effectively removing any OS as well and you have to use ODIN to re-flash ?

    Well I tried it but the code isn't even recognized so who knows.

    am not trying it lol.
    yeah certain short codes that work on US phones dont work on my global.
    duno if its a carrier thing or what.
    isnt the rom in its own partition?
    might take out sd and try it next time i wana reset... surely it wont wipe recovery?
