NOTE: Developer "travp624" has released version "31 31" of his "Black Ice" ROM mod for the GSM version Samsung Galaxy Nexus (i9250).
It's fast, stable, has Android 4.0.4, looks great, and is chock-full of great features and user-selectable options.
(I sincerely believe it to be the "ROM-of-choice" for this specific GSM Nexus!)
