[International / GSM] gnex new user

Just bought a gnex that is already rooted and has the apex rom install,. I'm new to android so I'm wondering if you guys can tell me or show me how to unroot the phone so that it's back to it's stock form.

Are you running a GSM version or a Verizon version?

You can check the root guide for the specific device you have in the all things root subforum or if you let me know which device you have I'll link you to it.

Ok, I'm on my phone right now, I'll get you a link in a little bit. It is pretty easy to return to stock.

Maybe, maybe not, it depends on the custom rom that that you are using. I have the VZW version and am running stock but am rooted and I am perfectly satisfied with the performance of my device. Some roms perform better than stock and other roms. Others don't, I find that loading new kernels is where you really get a performance boost, in both speed and battery life.

I appreciate the info you give me.........Do you have any suggestion as to which kernel boosts the performance of the phone..my phone so far is running apex 1.0.2 with the kernel 3.0.18-imoseyonn...and I'd really appreciate it if you can give me a link on how to install a kernel

Franco's kernel is one of the most popular..

Popcorn kernel also appears to be a hot performer.

Can't be bother with links as I'm posting off tapatalk... just Google them.

Just a quick point... A lot of the increase in performance comes from over clocking though... so don't expect anything too dramatic at standard frequency on the new kernels
