I'm seeing several different drivers & versions and wondered which is the best driver that works with Win 7 x64?

    darkcyber,

Try the Naked drivers (uninstall all other Samsung drivers first):

ADB/FB Driver Naked Samsung Driver 1.7

Also, put your phone in fastboot / bootloader mode before installing

    -- or --

PDAnet drivers (I haven't tried these myself, but I've seen many others reference them):

    32-bit Windows 7/Vista/XP

    64-bit Windows 7/Vista

If prompted, specify "Samsung" as your device manufacturer; you can also un-install PdaNet afterwards, but leave the USB drivers intalled.

There's also detailed information in the how-to root thread: http://androidforums.com/verizon-galaxy-nexus-all-things-root/469049-how-root-vzw-lte-samsung-galaxy-nexus.html as well as several other USB drivers at the bottom of the first post.

    Good luck!

    Cheers and Happy Holidays!

Thanks! I had already downloaded the Naked 1.7 drivers, but then found mention of a 1.9 and something somewhere about a 2, thus the reason I wanted to check to see what was working.

I don't have any Samsung drivers installed on my computer right now...only Motorola drivers for my X...so I should be good there.

By this "Also, put your phone in fastboot / bootloader mode before installing" do you mean before I hook my Nexus up to my pc?

yeah, I had already read through those links, but was just really unclear on the best driver for x64 after reading several had some issues with some drivers.

    Thanks again! Merry Christmas :)

Well, member BIGPHILWA PM'd me to let me know that you should put your phone into fastboot mode first before connecting and trying to install the drivers (and I think his experience and what he read over at XDA reinforced this).

Merry Christmas to you, too, darkcyber (9 minutes to go for me here in Indy ;) )).

    Cheers!
