So suddenly, entirely out of the blue, my m7 stopped showing SSIDs. The hotspot is still working, and I can connect to WiFis if I feed in the name, though they might not work properly once I do (I haven't been able to check that).
I'm running the Insertcoin ROM, Android 4.4.2.
