Root [International] reset the flash counter

    hello,

    my phone can only go in download mode or recovering mode
    any idea that Can I reset the flash counter

    Nah i think the phone has to be able to boot to reset it.
    It sounds fixable though :thumbup:
    Do you have a nandroid backup? Have you tried a factory reset from recovery?

    Funky is correct and using an app called Triangle Away--I think thats what its called...
    What carrier are you with?
    Are you looking to unroot?
    Can you not boot into the OS?
    Perhaps we can find a rom to flash, then use the app.

    my phone can only get in recovery mode or download so I can't use any App.
    my model is gt-i9300 that use in europe

    Is it a custom recovery like Clockwork Mod you have or just the normal samsung one?

    normal GT-I9300
    I need to reset the counter to use the warranty, the phone is under warranty and I need to reset the counter.

    yes I allso clear EFS, customer service will fix it but the counter must be on 0

    You cant reset it unless you can boot into the operating system man. Youll have to flash the phone with an OS that will boot then somehow get triangle away app onto it.
    If Mike moves this to the i9300 forum, hopefully someone knows how to fix the EFS :thumbup:

    Dont have a nandroid backup, factory reset from recovery not help

    I think. If you dont have custom recovery, youll have to use Odin to flash a stock rom, root again, then use the Triangle Away app, then reflash the stock rom to remove root

    I'm not familiar with that version as funky may be with roms etc.
