I did a search for this and found a thread where the verdict was never clearly given. Is there a way to turn off all data roaming (for all apps and email, etc) but leave the ability to send and receive texts and use Google Voice? I'm going overseas in 2 weeks and I'm afraid of accruing large roaming charges, but I also don't want to get a foreign SIM card and deal with letting people know an international number for only a week. Thanks in advance!

If you use APNdroid it will disable your internet access. You'll still be able to receive SMS as that runs over GPRS. In terms of Google Voice, you'll need to be hooked into wifi if you intended to run APNdroid. Disabling the APN is a black and white sort of deal; it's either on or it's off.
