    Hello!

I've been looking up on how to root and install custom ROMs on my SGS3 International for the past month and I decided to give it a go 3 days ago...
I regret my decision to ever get near custom ROMs...
My battery is draining at 12-15% an hour in idle mode and I just want this nightmare to end so I can go back to my stock.
I figured my nandroid would do (It's stock with root before I installed any roms) and the battery life is normal again but I'm still unable to receive OTA updates.
So my next question is... How exactly do I turn my phone back into how it was pre-root?
In Download mode it says I've got a custom binary and 1 flash counter.

I've found some threads regarding resetting the flash counter and then some others regarding stock ROM...

All these numbers and I'm not sure what's what.

    ANY help would be appreciated,

    Thanks.

You just need to go back to Stock recovery instead of CWM. Don't have the steps with me at the moment on how to do this.

easiest way would be to download the stock rom from sammobile.com and flash it to ure phone via odin. If u want to reset the flash counter u can install a software called triangle away it will reset ure falsh counter.

I flashed an official 4.1.2 firmware and its removed root and clockwork back to stock recovery mate.
Find an official firmware for your carrier, flash thru odin n you should be stock mate

Ps, im guessin you have CWM recovery n thats whats blocking the ota?
