internet questions

    If I have repeated this thread I am sorry, I have searched time and time again and I can not find the answer to my question.

    I am wondering if there is an application I can download or purchase so that I can run the internet on my laptop off of my phone's internet. I have a htc hero and i want to do away with my internet card so my phone bill will be cheaper. Any suggestions would be great and again if I have repeated a thread I am truly sorr

    yes you can. Make sure you install HTC Sync onto the computer, then attach your Hero via the usb cable.

    then on your phone go to:

    settings > wireless control > tick mobile network sharing.

    et voila!

    Lekky is right unless you have a hero from one of the US carriers (not sure if Telus or Sprint) in which case you can't use it for tethering.

    If you have the cdma hero use PDAnet, downloadable for free from the market. It also requires you to install software on your pc.
