iphone 5 vs Galaxy S3?

Most if not all of the leaks regarding the new iphone may be misleading and Apple could very well be the source of those leaks. Remember the S3? Nobody knew what to expect in terms of design. With that in mind nobody besides the top Apple dogs know what the next iphone might look like. TBH holding a Note to your ear looks like holding a brick...without adding a case! With an otterbox or a ballistic the S3 is simply too huge and heavy. What I don't get is...if people have a PC, laptop, mac, whatever and own a tablet...why would you want a huge phone? There's many arguments on both sides.

So they don't have to squint when they use their phone for anything but....dialing a number on the keypad.

I am totally used to the GS3 and when I pick up my wife's iPhone 4S I always almost start laughing at how incredibly small the screen looks. It reminds me of those little 7" portable TVs that you used to be able to buy at Walmart....what is the point if you can't hardly see it?

This is exactly what the problem is these days. People think a smartphone (whatever the damn brand is) covers everything when in fact it doesn't. It will never replace your: TV, your regular PC, your tablet, your XBOX or PS3 and the list goes on. Of course if you're cheap  then keep telling yourself it does.

..5 years from now on...Samsung releases the next big thing...inspired by "nature"...the brand new Samsung Galaxy S8...30" smartphone. I wonder if anyone can say an early 80's PC is better than a Macbook air or pro because it's ohLOL so small. See my logic? You want a big screen buy a freaking TV and watch your netflix or better yet stop being cheap and buy cable or satellite TV lol.

Ladies and gentlemen,

I just deleted a few posts that are worthy of an infraction, because they went on the offensive and were personal. Why didn't I infract? Well, call me a softie. Respect each other.. we're watching. Get personal again? You'll be infracted and ultmately banned. Hopefully not.

Additionally, I see that this thread has a "history". I saaaay one more situation and we lock it for good.

Thanks!
Steven

Can't we ask just get along??

Also, if you're a porn addict Androids are the way to go (no wonder people want bigger screens on Androids).

You know what, I was fearful that the GS3 was "too big" before I got it. But the reality is that the FORM FACTOR is more than just LxW. It is also thinness, it is also weight. I am a man and I wear pants or shorts that always have a pocket large enough that a GS3 fits. Period. Actually my wife's iPhone with its thicker case feels no better in my pocket because it is thicker and heavier. So then what is the benefit to the smaller form factor? Same thing with my old Captivate...smaller LxW, but thicker. So not a better pocket "feel".

For some, either people who are small or wear tight pants, maybe the GS3 is too big.

If you made a THIN phone with a 4.3 inch screen that was LIGHT and also a smaller LxW form factor I'd probably be a huge huge fan.

But assuming the pocket feel is equivalent, then why WOULDN'T you want to maximize the screen real estate? I guess battery life would be the only reason. Anyway I could never want to go to an iPhone at this point given it's postage stamp screen. It just feels......old......

Besides having a bigger screen and that the isheep will line up for the opportunity to touch it , what other concrete details do we have about the i5? We won't know how good or bad it really is till it's released and in the hands of objective reviewers, not the Apple loving press that get the review units. It could cause cancer in babies and Mossberg, Pogue, Swisher et al would still claim its the best thing ever.
