Which one should I go for? I was pretty set on the Nexus 4, but the past day or so my Incredible S has been HORRIBLE. Signal going completely, texts not coming through, texts not sending, internet not working etc. etc.

Is this likely an HTC thing or an Android thing? Because I don't want another phone doing that.

Well in all fairness you are on an android forums so most people will say the nexus 4.
But i would think the nexus 4 is the better phone due to price and the fact it has one of the best processors out there. Also if you like android UI then Iphone will be a big stepdown in that respect.

As for your incredible dying this is not a common occourance in phones and it is most likely happening due to age. There is just as much chance of this happening to an iphone . So really your only questions is if you prefer the android UI and the fact the nexus 4 is a lot cheaper.

For the price of an iPhone... I'd take 2 nexus phones. :p

If the price points were switched, I'd still take the nexus for an open source experience. I don't need apple saying what I can and can't do ;)

I just spent the better part of three evenings trying to detach myself from iTunes thanks to their damn DRM. In the process I discovered that tunes bought from Google download in non-DRM mp3 format! That's it. I'm done with anything Apple. It's SUCH a pain in the ass to wriggle out from under the Fruit's ecosystem that I will NEVER crawl back in.

Anyway, back on topic, yes, the N4 is the phone to get. I'm currently on a Samsung S3 running Cyanogenmod's JB4.2 which is really nice but the N4 is the phone I'm going to.

To be fair, music bought through iTunes has been DRM free for a while now.

But yeah, I'd buy the Nexus unless you need more storage. As for your recent problems, it's not android itself, can't say whether it's the phone or network.

If your carrier network in your area is experiencing technical difficulties, then that's what you've been seeing, and neither phone can fix the carrier.

If your phone broke, then any new phone will fix the problems.

If you're asking if htc or any Android is less reliable than anything else, the answer is no.

Therefore, your decision is simple - have your phone checked to see if it's broken and if it is, get the Nexus 4.

We can debate every point and detail, but the end result will be that the Nexus is simply far superior.
