    Hi all,

Been scouring the net for an answer to this one but no joy so looks like this is about the biggest UK forum I can see!

    I have a box fresh a500 updated to 3.1.

Annoyingly when I either access the site or use the app, iPlayer just tells me 'your phone is not supported'

This works fine on my 2.2 HTC, so what gives? Any suggestions would be gratefully received as this is a big blow if it doesn't do something simple like iPlayer.....

    Thanks

    Tim

Have you tried the desktop version of the website?
I use I player with no problems.

How do you mean the 'desktop' version?

I've tried both the direct URL in the proprietary browser and FF5 and the app. It would appear the Android app is just a redirect to the URL which is a bit rubbish? But they both throw the same error.

Hmm, I see what you mean. I've not used it since the 3.1 update, and I get the same message as you now, even though my tablet is set to open desktop versions of websites!

What browser are you using? I changed from dolpin HD to the default browser and now have no issues viewing the I player.

Both the default browser (which is painfully terrible) and Firefox. What's Dolphin, another browser? So iPlayer works on Dolphin?

I'm using Dolphin and it supports BBC iplayer.
Works on mine and I'm UK based.

I was using dolphin, but it didn't support it.
I changed to the default (as you said, painfully slow) and iplayer works.

If your in the UK you might want to try tvcatchup.com

That works well and gives you 50 channels.
