Root Is a Calendar app needed

Is at least one of the stock calendar apps needed for the phone to function properly? I have never used nor will I ever need the calendar and was just wondering if it's safe to delete. I've already removed the corporate one, but left the standard one on the phone thinking it was important.

No neither of them are needed for the phone to opperate correctly.

Yes it does. I just deleted CalendarProvider.apk, Calendar.apk, and Calculator.apk(idk why that was there anyways, I thot I deleted it a while ago) anyways, done and working fine.

Worked fine for me as well. Was worried that my notepad app might rely on it, but it doesn't look like it does. I also removed the email app as well (not gmail) because i'll have no use for that either with no ill effects.
