So far they are setting a record for sitting on new phones many with FCC approval.
Sony x10 - sitting on it
    HTC Desire- sitting on it
Samsung Galaxy S - sitting on it
I'm starting to see a trend here.

They are not at Yahoo's teet they own them.
And I could care less about them making it the default search. Just give the option to change it if I wish.

They won't let you even delete their stupid * ATT numbers from the beginning of your phonebook (unless you hack the phone) annoying as heck.

    AT&T does not own Yahoo.

And some phones let you delete the useless numbers. Actually most phones today do, so it seems. Though I agree a couple years ago that wasn't true.

Should not have put own but SBC Yahoo is a AT&T company. So they have a large stake in them.

Yes they are capable, the question is, can they stop being greedy ******s for five seconds and not worry solely about the profits they swim iin.

Whats the point of being in business if your greed is going to drive away all your customers? ;)

I think it has to do with the phone's position in the company. If it's a "low-end" phone, the numbers can't be deleted.
