    Where did you hear this free music comes from exactly and who told you this?

    a vzw person told me told me that most things on it were free. not directly music, but i was just wondering. but i want an answer please if you can provide one

    Yes, a majority of apps are free. Music is not free. You will have to purchase that.

    Some streaming services, like Pandora, are free.

    Get TuneinRadio dude, its sweet. Or if you have music on your computer already you can stream it with AudioGalaxy.

    I know when I first bought my Eris and the wife's Droid 1, the VZW rep at the store told us to download iMusic (I think that was the name). You could download tons of music free. We did install it but never really used since we knew there had to be something wrong with doing that.

    Since then, I have noticed that you can no longer find that app in the market, and that is probably for a good reason.

    I'm not promoting any "sharing app", but there are obviously quite a few out there if that is the route one wants to go. There are of course several ways to just buy an mp3 also, which is preferred. And legal.
