Is there currently a root available for the HTC Desire running 2.2 with hboot 1.06?

If so could you please point me in the right direction?

    Any input is appreciated, thanks.

Unrevoked are working on it. Some guy called Matt apparently. So far I haven't seen a new version of unrevoked so unless there is now some other way, its not yet possible.

I to have just received the 2.2 update and it gave me hboot 1.06, took Cellcom who is locally here in Wisconsin forever to come out with the update and they have temporarily locked me out of root access................patients I guess.

I believe unrevoked have given up on 1.06

We'll have to see what 2.3 gives you.

i doubt it, they know exactly why people dont want locked bootloaders. they aint stupid. its the whole reason they started locking them in the first place
