Is it possible to hide the date and time on android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich?

I have an android tablet running android 4.0 ice cream sandwich.

I am about to take part in a medical trial in which I am not allowed to know the time so I need to remove the time and date that is displayed on the unlock screen and in the navigational bar.

Does anyone know if/how this is possible, I have spent the last few hours trying to find a way...Please help!

hi there mr house, which tablet do you have if you dont mind me asking?

this process can be done, however it requires rooting, and a rom.

the unlock screen is different, it always shows the time.

you can disable the lock screen, of course it puts you at risk of just anyone getting into your phone

the clock in the navigation bar can be removed by a mod, or by a ROM that currently supports the feature.

I don't think I fancy going down the road of rooting my tablet as I am not very tech-savvy. I thought hiding the time and date may be as easy as it is on most laptops.

Your post was still very useful to me though as at least now that I know rooting the device is the only way to get rid of the time i can stop wasting my time trawling through all the settings on my tablet!
