Hi all First off a big hello to everyone and I apologise if this has been asked before or I'm being dumb.

Is there a safe app that can preload a spreadsheet? I'll explain

In work we work are a team of 5, sometimes we work in crews of 2 or 3 job depending. So between 6 & 7pm crew members 1&2 do a job A whilst 3,4 &5 do job B, that's 2 time sheets (TS 9&8) then all members do job C from 7 to 12 another timesheet (TS 7), then members 1&2 go back to job A (TS 9), members 3,4&5 do a job D another timesheet (TS 6). This can go on all shift sometimes 8/9 time sheets all with their individual codes.

I'm after an app that can fill in this info for me onto a spreadsheet that I can set up.

I'll need to put on start finish times, names, codes, description of job location of job, materials used and vehicle reg.

Like I say is it possible???
    Many thanks in advance.

    "safe app"

...well it's free and comes from China. I use WPS a lot, especially for work, and think it's OK to use.

sorry something with an easier interface, I'm thinking a home screen with buttons for the various items eg time, location, members etc, then click time for instance and get a choice to input, save then back to main menu

That is very wishful thinking, but I believe that sort of document would need to be created first

Yeah I would need to put in our timesheet as a spreadsheet document then have the relevant GUI basked on it

I'm not sure if your hesitation is:
    • A - creating the logic/formulas
      or
    • B - Providing a user friendly front end interface.

If A, google can't help you with that... you have to do it yourself on a sheet.

If B, Google forms can help you. A google form has to be created on pc. Once created, the form presents the user with defined fields (columns) to populate one record (row) of the spreadshseet (I'll call it a data input sheet). Each time the form is submitted it creates a new row in the sheet. When setting up the form you can provide label text and help text for each field and you can format the fields as dates or text or numbers (and the data entry brings up the correct keyboard). You can also pre-populate default values like current date, current time, list of values etc. If your needs are complicated you'll probably need to built another sheet to pull from the data input sheet and calculate totals/summary statistics/reports.
