It's a setting that turns off mobile internet/APN if it's not been used for a set period of time.

To check to see if it is active, follow these steps -

Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile Internets -> Enable always on mobile data.

Is there a tick in that box?

Double check your APN settings with your provider. Do you have any app that may be interfering with APN settings/Mobile Internet?
