Is my multitouch working correctly?

Whenever I use multitouch, as soon as my fingers get close to the same axis, they seem to snap onto the same axis. Is this normal, as it makes playing some games and emulators rather fiddly.

That's the app that showed me that it's actually happening. It shows the two different coloured dots and the axes of both while you hold your fingers onto the screen, but if both horizontal axes get closer than a couple of centimeters, they snap into the same place. Same goes for vertical axes too of course. My fingers can in reality be at the opposite ends of the screen, but if these seperate axes get too close they snap together, causing the pressing of wrong buttons on the emulators for example. Try moving the two dots about in that app and you'll see what I mean. Surely this can't be right? Any way to sort it out, or is it just a drawback of a touch screen?

It's a hardware limitation of the screen they used, the ClearPad 2000 I believe. I think the Desire was the last of the HTC phones to use this type of screen.

There's not a whole lot you can do to fix it unfortunately.
