So following these directions: How To: Root the Samsung Behold 2 | TheUnlockr I believe my phone has root but is there a way to be sure? I have two superuser icons. One that is ninja that was included on the rom i flashed and one with # sign that showed up after I did the above.

    I do get a # after I do this:
    Code (Text):
    1.
    2. 9. The phone should reboot. Once it does type the following into the command prompt (with the phone still connected):
    3.  adb shell
    4. su
    5.  10. If after you do that you get a # symbol on the command prompt, you were successful! You have root access! Enjoy!

Am I to assume I do? Is there a sure way to test it?

    You have root.

But you are probably running on the old-old ROM, b/c the try3 hack was patched out after the first update.

You may want to try a custom ROM from here on the forums. You use the PC software Odin to flash the phone. Root is not required to do this.

First using an app that disables apps off of start may cause some features to not work so tread carefully second nu11u5 is right, try one of the 1.6 roms out there

What app are you using to stop certain apps from starting at boot?
